Mary Anderson started Ecstatic Dance Seattle in 2001. She was attending a seven-day meditation intensive and on the last day she heard a voice say: “You are moving back to Seattle to start a healing dance”. It’s not the first time Mary has been divinely guided by spirit, so she listened and everything lined up perfectly.
Ecstatic Dance Seattle has now been a thriving dance community for more than twenty years.
Mary also hosts healing retreats on her six-acre Wonder Bloom Farm in Port Orchard, Washington, encompassing sound healing, breathwork, shamanic journeys, ecstatic dance, yoga, talking stick circles, art workshops and creating floral mandalas.
Mary’s Native American (Kootenai-Salish) Grandmother set Mary on her spiritual journey when she was 19 and passed down her psychic medium gifts as well (stay tuned for her book: Ghosts, Guides and Grandmother.)
When Mary isn’t on the dance floor she is outside planting seeds (literally and figuratively!) in her garden, walking in the forest, or laughing with her lovely daughter.
